Tomato Sauce is Tabooo | By JaSON | Friday, 23 March 2012

Why, oh why, does this lovely restaurant (to which I am compelled to return, repeatedly, every time I'm in the area) have to be so pretentious (in Knysna of all places, nogal) that it will not serve tomato sauce with its breakfasts? The refusal has been elevated to a kind of moral or religious principle, as if the chef's creations are so rarefied, so exquisitely refined, that the addition of half a smidgeon of good old Heinz tomato sauce to a forkful of scrambled eggs would be a sin, a crime, a catastrophe. COME ON! There is no homemade alternative either.

This is the place for lunch in Knysna. Nobody will ask you "chips or rice" -Thank you!!! Easy to accept that they do not like you to ask for changes of their well composed delicacies. The service and the food are relaxed and perfect at the same time. The bread is legendary - you will have no doubt that just the best ingredients are used.
