    Alex is back from Belgium (he goes there in their summer season to work, learn and get new inspiration - much like the "flying winemakers" do in our winter here). We had lunch on Saturday in the lovely warm courtyard where the kids can play safely. I had the mussels with coconut cream, chilli and ginger and spooned the whole pot out - they were amazing. My partner had the beef fillet with pepper sauce which also was good. The french fries are thin and crispy and served in a decorative dish. Service friendly as always, and it's always nice to chat to the owner who is hands-on - thank makes such a difference.

    I'm pretty fussy about food and was pleasantly surprised. I thought the inside decor was nice, but would also prefer the outside in summer. The service was very warm and friendly. Liked the fact that there were a few interesting choices on the winelist too.

    The food was truely awesome. But I wasn't to crazy about the inside decor. When I return I will sit in that lovely garden surrounded by lavender and peacefulness.
