Excellent Dining | By Jonathan | Friday, 10 February 2012
The best pizza in Johannesburg and attentive waiters. Must book well before though else you'll wait. The entire menu is very good and I will always go back.
A very nice night out! | By Eileen | Thursday, 29 September 2011
This was a pleasant experience and good value for money. A good selection of salads and starters. There are plenty of excellent main courses with very generous portions. The waiters were friendly and willing to please.
Lambrusco's arrogant owners are chasing long standing customers away! | By Antoinette | Thursday, 15 September 2011
It takes a long time to build-up a good restaurant. Reality being, word of mouth can take-away business.
We have had three bad experiences, and will not be supporting them. The owners have become far too confident having a "full" restaurant. Being in the service industry, it is of utmost importance to be able to relate to customers in an appreciative and well mannered manner. Unfortunately, the husband and wife owners have become arrogant in their actions infront of long standing patrons, shouting at their staff, being rude to patrons and quite happy to loose a customer without an apology. "Look around, my restaurant is always full" Sorry, we will be spending our money elsewhere.
Cheap, Cheerful and fun | By Alistair | Friday, 01 April 2011
This really is a lovelly place for a family supper. Lambrusco's is a clear follower of getting people through the door, serving them good quality food and at a really reasonable price.
The starters are a mishmash of favotrite Italian dishes as well as some interseting twists. The parma ham with caramalised onion is a winner and the carpaccio is a give away at the price you are paying.
Main dishes are the normal Italian fare, with plenty of pizza and authentic pastas. A great option here is the fillet which is always a winner.
Desserts are a bit of a letdown as there is minimal thought or originality, but at a place like this you won't really care.
Service is alright, but it does suffer when the place gets busy, and believe me that it will! Don't try walking in without a reservation on either a Friday or Saturday night!
