    For the prices Delicatessan is one of the best places in the Winelands to take family and friends. Great daytime spot. Food is excellent quality for the prices and, like a previous reviewer alluded to, excellent childrens options. Children can roam around in a safe environment while mum and dad try out the great selection of deli style foods washed down by above average house wines.

    We had a superb experience at DeliCATessen at Tokara! The day had taken it's own course with the kids in tow, and we arrived after a wine tasting at Thelema with 3 almost grumpy and rather hungry kids. The kids headed for the 'bird nest' and the original jungle gym, grumpiness forgotten, while we were kindly asked to be seated on the couches while they prepared our table. The service was friendly and efficient, the buffet food superb - and what a pleasure to find well-prepared children's food with real mozzarella on the pizza and a properly cooked hamburger with good chips (of course we shared!) Add to that 3 boxes of toys noted in front of the cozy log fire, magazines and books for everyone, and good wine - and you have the making of a very memorable day.
